Maybe, you’ve considered talking to your parents about what’s going on, but you’re not sure if they would get it and don’t think they could help you. Or, maybe you don’t want them to know you’re struggling and worry about you even more. Sometimes, life is hard. And, right now is one of those times. If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, or any other thing that is just making you feel downright miserable, then therapy can help.
You don’t have to deal with all the tough things alone, our teen therapists are here to help you be your authentic self and live a happier life.

We want you to feel comfortable talking to your counselor, so we will use the first couple of sessions to get to know each other and explore the challenges you’re experiencing. Then, we will spend time identifying your strengths as the awesome individual you are. So, we might give you a list of positive personality traits and ask you to think about which ones you possess. Our hope is that understanding and knowing how to work with your strengths will give you a boost of confidence. So, when faced with challenges in your life, you can remember how powerful you are. This will not only boost your self-esteem, but also help reduce your anxiety about dealing with the unknown. Then, we will talk about how to rely on your strengths during tough times. We will also work with you to learn and practice some useful tools and techniques that will help you feed centered and calm.
Ultimately, we want you to leave counseling feeling like you accomplished your goals and talked about the things that mattered to you. We also want you to feel confident that you can deal with the tough times by using the coping and communication skills you learned in counseling. This will improve your connection to yourself and others.
