I’m so glad you’re here. It can take a lot of courage to ask for help.
It is hard to be human. It is harder still to be the human you want to be. We interact with so many systems each day, some which might seem geared towards simply making life challenging.
In our time together, my hope is to create a space where you can show up as your most authentic self. I aim to walk alongside you and help you work towards achieving your goals, gain greater self-awareness, discover your strengths, and identify any repeated patterns and systems that may be holding you back from continuing to grow into the person you want to be.
I utilize a person-centered perspective in counseling. This means that I will meet you with empathy and wholehearted respect in every session and create a space that is welcoming. I utilize a strengths-based approach, but draw from a wide range of different therapeutic strategies so that our time together best suits you and your needs. After all, every person is different and so what every person needs to grow is also different. Some of these different approaches include: Solution-Focused Therapy, Experiential Therapies (art, writing, music), Mindfulness-based Therapy, and Bibliotherapy.
In my free time, I try to be outside as much as possible and might be fly fishing, hiking, gardening, xc skiing, or playing with my dog. If I don’t have good enough gear for the weather (because there’s no bad weather…), you can find me inside with my nose in a book or knitting.
