“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” -Anais Nin
I believe this quote aptly describes the process involved in choosing to seek counseling. I deeply honor this risk and meet it with compassion. I am a listener as your story unfolds. Therapy often involves bringing voice to unspoken hurts and wounds. We heal best with the presence of another trusted person. I am honored to be that person for you.
I work with people of all ages who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment-related concerns, and parenting issues. I am trained in EMDR, Child Parent Psychotherapy, Circle of Security-Parenting, Core Sensitives, Polyvagal Theory, and Play Therapy. I am primarily person-centered, and attachment-focused, with elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Human Development and Family Science. I hold a Master of Arts in Education from Chadron State College in Community Counseling. I am licensed in Montana and Nebraska.
